Welcome to my new old place
So, here we are.
Still in tweak mode, but it’s coming along. Some things are new, some are missing or screwy, some are rearranged. I’ll write another post in a few days to sum up the changes… because it’s not just the template that’s changed.
For now, enjoy.
Feedback, as always, is mighty appreciated.

Love the new look.. the colours are wonderful and so apt as we enter my favourite season. I like the “old paper” feel of it…becuase when I see this I think there are indeed worth words ingesting and savouring. Nice change!
It is not plastic keys I feel beneath my fingerpads but thick creamy vellum.
This is gorgeous, Elizavetta.
I would say more but my fingerpads are hungry for that Spanish man in the suit.
Lovely, as always.
It looks beautiful. *smiles* I’m looking forward to the next phase of your writing.
Gorgeous….wow….what a Master Geek and Arteest….wow….blub….
::blink blink::
Nice ne…
::whonk::
Ow! I stubbed my toe on the… hey, who moved the hassock?
::crash::
::tinkle::
Oh, sorry, sorry! That was me - I didn’t realize that the etagere was over here now, and …
::thunk::
Umm… I’m just gonna sit on the recliner in the corner, okay?
Everyone,
It seems from this little sampling of comments that this design is a keeper, yes? I kinda like it myself.
Gillette, as far at your “master geek and artist” comment is concerned, I feel it’s only fair to tell you that, in this case, I had a whole lot of help on the technical and artistic aspects of things. The inspiration, desire and sensibility of the design choice, however, is all mine. It’s only all those elements added together that allow the final result to be “wow…blub…wow.” *smile*
Tom, LOL, you write great slapstick! The recliner’s all yours. I hope my site didn’t injure you too badly.
No, no, I’m okely-dokely. It’s just a matter of getting used to the new stuff, is all.
Oh, and I do like it. Just when I thought I wasn’t going to bother going for my own hosted domain, you put up something that made me envious.
The new template is gorgeous, just lovely.
What a beautiful new place you have here, my dear. It’s beautifully organized and so elegant!
Hugs,
rg
I absolutely love what you’ve done with the place. It feels so clean, uncluttered, yet inviting and sensual. It’s completely you.
Tom,
You now have blog envy? Well then, that definitely makes this design a success! Seriously, though, I’d love to see what you’d do with your own hosted site. Oh, the mind reels!
I’m glad you’re ok, by the way. I’d bring some beer over to you, ensconced as you are in your recliner, but I’m not in that kind of mood right now. *smile*
Beth and Butterfly,
I’m glad to know you both like the new look.
“Clean, uncluttered, yet inviting and sensual.” That’s pretty much exactly what I wanted this time around! So, it’s good to know that feeling comes through to others.
RG,
Why thank you ma’am. Coming from you, elegant web design maven that you are, that’s a wonderful compliment indeed.
Which reminds me, now that I’ve got this site up and going, I need to get over to your place to get caught up on your podcasts! I’ve only been able to listen to Central Registry so far. I love the way you say motherfucker, by the way. jesusfuckingchrist, too. *smile*
And I have to say, I don’t know what you mean about “another pathetic attempt” at podcasting. The quality is great and your voice as well as your delivery is absolutely perfect.
People, if you haven’t had the pleasure of listening to RG weave her tales, get over to her podcast blog and do so as soon as you can.
Oh! Very clear and very lovely, I really should do something with my domain…er…yes…I admit it, a touch of blog-envy.
xx
Elizavetta,
It’s gorgeous my dear.
Tranquil yet vibrant; sensually creative and nourishing.
A place to bathe and feed and share and love.
Blessings.
RideFlame,
Ah, another vote for blog envy! I hope you - and Tom (see above) - use that envy as more fuel for your creativity with your own blogs. I’ll certainly be looking forward to the result in both cases. *smile*
Magdelena,
Your comment is indeed a blessing upon this “house.” A thousand thank yous for that. *smile*
I love the new design fiercely. It’s like a favorite book, or a well worn journal, with creases in the best pages…even the ones that have yet to be written on.
I’m looking forward to your next stage of writing…I love the way you use words as well.
Anais’ Little Sister,
Thank you very much! And welcome.
Beautiful, and extraordinary. The site, and the woman.
3,
Thank you.
